Silkspear
the silkspear is the first weapon skill you get in silksong, it is a ranged attack where you hold still for a moment and then throw your spear forward in the direction of you choosing, Hornet throws the Needle forward, piercing enemies. The Silkspear deals 3x Needle Damage on hit.
If the spear hits a wall, it is retracted significantly faster. This means that hitting an enemy, followed by a wall, makes the Silkspear much quicker to cast while still dealing the same amount of damage.
Hornet is unable to perform regular Needle attacks until the Needle returns to her, potentially leaving her vulnerable to enemy attacks.
Threadstorm
Creates a whirl of Silk centered on Hornet that strikes 5 times, which can be extended to 11 times via repeated input of the SKILL/TOOL. Thread Storm deals 0.75x Needle Damage. An enemy takes full damage for the first 4 strikes that hit them; the 5th hit deals 0.25x Needle Damage. The remaining hits deal damage equal to current Needle Level, with the minimum of 1.
Cross Stitch
hornet raises the Needle in a defensive stance, countering with a flurry of 4 attacks upon blocking a hit. Cross Stitch deals 0.75x Needle Damage on hit, rounding up, resulting in a total of 3x Needle Damage if all hits connect.
It has little-to-no delay between the button input and the defensive stance being entered. This means it prevents damage in instances that Sharpdart, the other defensive Skill, would be interrupted by due to bad timing, making it better for quickly reacting to incoming damage but worse for anticipating it. It can also be performed in any location, whereas Sharpdart may result in Hornet being propelled into an environmental hazard, requiring careful use in regards to positioning.
The counterattacks can hit multiple enemies at once, making Cross Stitch useful in tight spaces where a lot of enemies are close together.
Hornet is briefly invulnerable after performing the counterattack.
