Act 2-3 Regions

This page is for the regions after halfway point, the buttons below will show you their pages for each area such as the sands of karak or other examples

This may include regions of which you can go to earlier however certain regions are locked behind an item from the second half such as sands of karak or some areas of bilewater.

this page is also for all the Silksong maps past the halfway point of the game.

Silksong map of The Cradle

The Cradle is an area located above the Citadel in which Grand Mother Silk resides, asleep. Below her, there is an area which contains several cages that were used to capture descendants of the Weavers, similar to how Hornet was captured at the beginning of the game. The Cradle also features a small field of white flowers, where Lace guards the Citadel lift’s rise to the top.

When Act 3 is initiated, Hornet awakens in the Cradle after it is destroyed by the Void, with only her Hunter Crest, Silkspear ability, and no Tools to aid her escape. Rubble blocks many paths that were once open to her, and she returns to Pharloom through a newly-opened side path that circumvents the destroyed upper Cogwork Core.

Returning to the ruined Cradle requires the Silk Soar ability, acquired from The Abyss. Ascending to its peak where Grand Mother Silk was once fought allows Hornet to obtain the Pale Nails skill by binding Grand Mother Silk’s cut arm that is left in the area.

Silksong map of The Abyss

The Abyss is pitch-black and largely devoid of natural life. The few life forms that appear here are mostly hostile, and the bottom-most reaches of the Abyss are an unending sea of Void Tendrils that lash out at anyone that approaches.

Remnants of the ancient civilisation are also present within this kingdom’s Abyss, ranging from old structures to lore tablets.

Silksong map of Verdania

The Verdania that is found in-game is the remains of the lost kingdom of Verdania. It is a dimly lit cave, housing ruined architectures of the lost kingdom and the lamenting Green Prince. This small corridor is devoid of collectibles, barring the Verdania Map and a bench at the end.

Silksong map of Sands of Karak

he Sands of Karak consist largely of long, horizontal platforming areas navigated by striking crust tree pearls that spawn short-lived crust trees – linked platforms that can either be flat platforms, hanging walls or crust spike balls – which Hornet must jump and Needle bounce on before they disappear.

Silksong map of Mount Fay

Mount Fay is nearly devoid of enemies to fight, and consists almost entirely of platforming challenges, requiring both Clawline and Drifter’s Cloak to traverse.

While in Mount Fay, Hornet slowly frosts from the cold when not near a heat source, indicated by Hornet’s sprite flashing light blue, the edges of the screen getting increasingly coated in ice, and the Masks in her healthbar turning blue and quivering. Safely traversing the area requires quickly moving between heat sources which are scattered around the area. Hornet normally takes 20-40 seconds to fully frost over, but certain effects can slow this:

  • Using Flintslate will immediately reverse the timer by a large percentage, and will slow the timer by 30% while its effect is active.
  • Entering Beast Crest‘s Fury state will immediately reverse the timer by 15%, and will slow the timer by 10% while in the Fury state.
  • Combining both effects gives a 37% slowdown.

Once fully frosted, Hornet takes  of damage every 1.75 seconds. Damage cannot be slowed once it begins, but frosting can still be reversed, stopping damage until Hornet is fully frosted again.

The waters in Mount Fay are also freezing, and will immediately deal  of damage when Hornet lands in them, and an additional  every few seconds she remains in the water. This damage cannot be slowed or reduced, and does not affect the progress of Hornet frosting over from the ambient cold.

At the top of Mount Fay, Hornet unlocks the Faydown Cloak, which grants her immunity to frostbite from its cold weather. However, icy water remains damaging.

The Ascendant’s GripWeavelight and Plasmium Phial Tools can make the trek easier, though they aren’t required. Caution should be exercised with certain heat sources, as they are destructible and can render certain sections impassable without resetting.

The Mask Maker’s home can be found on a side path off of the western slopes, accessible after obtaining the Faydown Cloak.

Silksong map of Putrified Ducts

The area mostly consists of vile and disgusting water, filled with Muckmaggots. There are 4 large rooms with aqueducts running from one side to another. The ducts are also home to the Ductsucker, which feeds off of the slime on the ducts. The Wreath of purity tool can be found there, next to the ruins of a Pinstress’s balloon. At the top of the area after a secret parkour challenge you can find Vog, an NPC that finds her way to the Flea caravan after you talk to her. Once she is back at the Flea Caravan, she will give you the locations of Fleas in exchange for Rosaries.

Silksong map of Bilewater

Bilewater is an area made up of swampy, noxious tunnels overgrown with roots and thorns. The area is riddled with traps set by the Stilkin. Its waters and caves were polluted by waste from the citadel above.

The far eastern end of Bilewater, below the Pale Lake, is the only area where the water has not been tainted.
